Dr. Daniel Carroll grew up just outside Minneapolis, in a vibrant neighborhood in Plymouth, Minnesota. His mother, a special education teacher, later ran a daycare out of their home, while his father was a laborer for a global bottling company. From an early age, Dr. Carroll understood the significance of hard work and empathy for others. Despite being the first doctor in his family, there was never a time when his dream of becoming a physician wavered. As a child, he had his fair share of illnesses. The healthcare professionals, whose jobs revolved around making him feel better, left a lasting impression.

Choosing a field proved challenging for Dr. Carroll, as he found every aspect of medicine exciting. Nevertheless, he decided on ENT, a specialty that deals with the parts of the body that make us uniquely human: the ability to converse clearly with friends, to enjoy unobstructed music at a theater, and to breathe freely, experiencing the world’s smells and tastes.

He collaborates with his patients, working as a team to achieve their treatment goals. This may mean reassurance and education for some, or medication and surgery for others. His ability to connect with patients, taking a holistic approach while working on minuscule spaces above the shoulders, earned regional recognition in 2022 when he was nominated for the Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Top Doctor Rising Star list.
